Main issues that constitute the basis for factionalism among islamist. Different islamic factions use force, violence or education and coercion. Because islam can be so easily reinterpreted, future may be susceptible to new varieties. These are all issues related to the internal civil war of islam. Islam became a conflict over power, each side interpreting islam differently. Apostasy very important in takfiri: abandoning one"s religion, punishable by execution. Denial of islam can include existence of god, etc. Narrow version of apostasy: denying at least one small part of islam. If someone believes in god of islam, they must practice their religion or else they are considered abandoning their religion. Kafir: unbeliever or one that has abandoned their religion.
