As the muslim population has been emigrating increasingly, there have been increasing. Some say it is out of desperation, poverty that people move primarily to europe (more than to the united states) Out of the population of the european union today (500 million) 20 million are muslims. In the case of the united states, out of 320 million there are only 3 million at most from the religion of islam. Europe colonized muslim countries, particularly north africa, and as a result a lot of people from those countries emigrated. Some scholars argue it is out of religious conviction: religion of islam must spread to new parts of the world. Muslims are under obligation to emigrate if they can in order to propagate and promote religion of islam. This may in part be true, but it is mostly due to economic conditions. Rest of the course will focus on non muslim nations and how islamism has developed in these nations.
