Loyal british citizens, run freely, start getting taxed after indian war, not happy, declared free which is stupid bc they have no hope, then they fight with gorilla, then they win. Lead to meeting in maryland to modify the articles. Again the next year but rhode island didn"t show - so they couldn"t modify bc they needed all states to agree and be there. Decided to do everything in secret and compromise. Virginia gives - virginia plan where big states have all power. That was a no go - but they started compromising and made constitution. What they couldn"t agree on they just left it out. Then they present the constitution to the public. Decided to meet again to ratify the doc - bill of rights. Originally when making the constitution they had to take power from the states because they had all the power and the people didn"t like that but they needed the structure.
