Three types of mobile apps: native apps: you install by downloading them from an app store. Designed to work on a specific platform. ios vs android: mobile web apps: run on a web server and are accessed by typing in a domain name on the devices web browsers, requiring an internet connection. Cheaper to build: hybrid app: apps that get the advantages of both native and mobile web apps. It is an app designed in web-based code that"s wrapped with a pretty bow of native code. An important activity is the human transfer of knowledge and skills. Now knowledge is stored on countless servers, displayed on webpages and accessible by apps. The next shift in knowledge is far more dramatic: artificial intelligence, robotics, internet of things is ensuring the prevalent transfer in knowledge won"t be to humans at all. Things are speeding up and change is imminent. Buying things without leaving the platform is key.
