Very different form other ways of knowing. Definition: a self-correcting way of knowing whereby ideas are shared and disconfirmed. The scientific method (framework of disconfirm ideas) No other way of knowing has such a powerful check on the validity of its own conclusions. Biology easy quantifiable clear conversation of cause and effect few factors, few unknowns (in experiments) chema+chemb=chemc. Direct measurements (2) soft sciences (not less scientific!) Psychology (3) psychological phenomena are messy and depend of many factors individual differences external variables.
