Type iia hybrid some characteristics of type i and some of type iix. Type i- slow twitch oxidative amount of oxidative enzymes are high. Type iix oxidative capacity is low, some of those enzymes, but low concentration compared. Sprinters will have a high percentage of this. Glycolytic (pfk- marker and rate limiting) and atp-cp system there will be a lot. Type ii a moderately high oxidative concentration : some characteristics of both type iix and type i. Glycolytic (pfk- marker and rate limiting) and atp-cp system. Motor unit is motor unit and all motor fibers that they innervate slow motor units type i. Fast motor units- type iia and iix: the size is big, so cap to produce force is greater. Has to do with size of muscle fibers: fast twitch big and greater, slow twitch low size and strength. Structural and functional characteristics of muscle fibers type-- page 41. Have more than 300 fibers per motor neuron.
