Document Summary

Dr. nory jones was interviewed about her past experience in the business world, working for. She mostly worked on writing reports covering testing for the federal government, so technical communications was very prominent in her work as the study. Director. dr. jones is now, and has been for many years, a professor at the university of maine focusing on teaching information systems courses in the business school. She was able to sit down with me for a quick interview about how communication, both written and oral played a role in her business career. Written communications consisted of mainly formal reports that had a common structure, which was to be followed. It was quite rare for a written memo to be given out or emailed across the company. Much of the internal communication was done through oral weekly meeting with staff members. These meetings were used to express ideas, concepts, share problems, and present plans.
