Introspection: view a simple stimulus (ex. book) and then reconstruct sensations & feelings immediately after viewing: stimulus: anything perceptible to senses sight, sound, touch, etc. Introspection was too limited: unreliable and couldn"t be used to study children/animals or complex topics: view consciousness as a structure at a given moment.
