Controls fine motor movements (hand, fingers, and tongue) Each part of motor cortex controls different part of the body. Largest areas devoted to movements of tongue and fingers. Left hemisphere of frontal lobe is broca"s area. Damage in this part = broca"s aphasia (slow, effortful speech, ungrammatical but meaningful) Specializes in processing information from body"s senses (touch, pain, temperature, awareness of location of one"s body parts)
