Document Summary
Designing a theory-based lesson: select a skill to teach another person. It should be a skill for which you can write an observable goal ((cid:1688)learner will be able to juggle 3 balls for a period of 1 minute,(cid:1689) rather than (cid:1688)learner will juggle. (cid:1689)). It should be a skill that someone in your group is capable of teaching to others: skill may not be hair braiding, simple baking/cooking (from a recipe or a box), or gift wrapping. Skill must adhere to the uci student code of conduct and not endanger any participants. Therefore, skills involving weapons, high risk, or driving are prohibited. Participants under the age of 18 must have parental permission to participate: the learner must be someone outside the group, using the theories, select 3 different strategies that can be applied to teaching. Not all group members need to be in the video. All group members do, however, need to view the entire lesson session.
