Kids with big heads tend to be top-heavy. Nutrition, climate, physical, and psychological factors affect growth. Variability exists as a function of nationality, ethnicity, and socio- economic status. Good nutrition is critical for promoting adequate growth, and breast feeding early in life is clearly preferred. Only approx 35% of world"s infants are breastfed until 4 months. Return home from the hospital, difficulties with breastfeeding. Hospital has more people who are knowledgeable and can help you. Formula given to most mothers enrolled in programs. Infants wake up more when they are breastfed. Infant food preferences are both innate and learned. Previous experience with food influences preferences (prenatal experience) Complementary feeding 6 months - 18 or 24 months. Breasts are sexual, but then moms use them for nursing and everyone freaks out. Not nursing more than a couple of times a day when they get older.
