Conditioned stimulus: previously neutral stimulus that comes to trigger a response (cs) ice hitting the glass before dinner. Conditioned response: learned response to a previously neutral conditioned response (cr) running downstairs for dinner. Acquisition: the initial stage of learning, during which a response is established the phase in which a stimulus comes to evoke a cr. Extinction: when a ucs does not follow a cs the cr is diminished.
