Hoping to tap into pol activism, particularly the students. A warlord attacks sun yatsen"s base and drives them out. Made sys and his associations keenly aware of lack of military power and funds. More and more recognition w/in revolutionaries that military power is going to be necessary to unite china and carry out rev on a national scale.
