Quartering act passed soldiers stayed in colonists home and colonists were to raise money to pay them: soldiers pay was nothing had food and uniform costs taken out of paycheck. Currency act passed colonists could no longer make paper bills to use as currency but had to have gold specie. King needs money to pay debts also wants the colonists to start paying for their own governance. It cost 400,000 pounds to govern the colonies each year.
