Fortunately for us, there exists films that are vague and abstract beyond initial comprehension (warhol"s empire) that quite literally presents us with nothing more than a still picture and if we"re lucky, different times of day (warhol"s empire ii). Therefore, i believe that directors are certainly capable of producing films that are almost devoid of content or a story to tell. Alternatively, i also believe that it would be nearly impossible to produce a film that is completely devoid of form. Now, i say almost devoid as opposed to completely devoid because it doesn"t seem plausible for a work of art (say, a film) to utterly lack content.
