Narcissism-feel so self entitled, center of the world. Problems of youth must see youth as residing within a developmental niche that includes family and a radius of significant others When anxiety goes beyond threshold, people decompensate, problem behaviors manifest. Problem behavior is a solution to anxiety, but it is not a productive solution, underlines their health and well being. When can"t trust needs will be met, anxiety goes beyond threshold: competence. Feel shameful failure in eyes of other, guilt because can"t live up to something they want to do: mattering. Solve anxiety in a way that will only contribute to their problems. Lash out on others form of authority, motivated by underlying forms of anxiety. General note on reactivity when faced with emotion-evoking situations (within the family, within the peer world), the tendency is for individuals to. React in ways that subverts their own development. The source of the anxiety is important.
