Middle adulthood generativity vs stagnation builds the foundation for this stage if you were able to be generative then you will be able to reflect on this during later adulthood vs. Despair overwhelming feelings of regret, incompetence, disappointment with one"s life. Feeling like you haven"t done anything that was important. Regret about quality of relationships with the people that you care about.
