We learned more about ipe (international political economy) Ipe is a rich and exciting field of study. Debates in ipe about power (who exercises power, forms of power, etc. ) Talks a lot of globalization (organizations that develop an international influence. ) Impossible to understand the evolution of world affairs without understanding how politics and economics are intertwined. Ipe made a response to the processes of structural change that were associated with globalization. Questions in ipe revolve around concept of power: Some accounts emphasize the relationship between power and wealth. How is power exercised? (by whom and with what consequences?) Public power: authority concentrated in state institutions and organizations. Private power: authority exercised by non state institutions and actors. Public and private power can also be seen as the relationship between states and markets (susan strange. ) People think strange"s phrase is stupid because the phrase is restrictive and states are not the most important figures in global political economy.
