Not quite sure who the father is. Zeus uses disguise as amphitrion to get away from hera and sleep with alcmena. Next born will be king of mycenae. Eurystheus v. herakles : who will be the king. Herakles: divine hero, iphicles: mortal side, sidekick. God/human father is a motif of ancient egyptian stories as well. Not a canonical labor (not on the temple)
