After stonewall inn riots, clubs formed to cater to lgbtq people. Disco doesn"t become a genre until after the club scenes form. Bass guitar and rhythm guitar being altered the whole way through. Takes a lot from funk, and also a long-formed disco thing. Donna summer, "love to love you baby" (1975) Takes away instruments to highlight her voice, then brings back instrumentation. Simple, repetitive bass layer with drums and guitar. Worried about the vocals being attached to her name.
