This is all the foundation of imperial research. Components of theory: concept, construct, variable: concept. Expresses an abstraction formed by generalization from particulars. People are shy, people are taller than others, we can generalize their differences from others. Instead of difference form head to oor we say height. Something we see or think we can see in a world. Personality disorders, migration, communication concepts: construct. Concept that has been deliberately invented for some scienti c speci c purpose. Do not have material existence: cant touch see or touch them. Belief, attitude, personality, source credibility, group cohesiveness: if you can scent it with your 5 scenes, it is concept. Fill in the gaps in our theories. Time is a concept, like when you look at a clock and it is 2:30, but when it is a perceptive time it is a construct like when you say time is ying by.
