In1975, congress passed the education for all handicapped children act: this congressional act opened the door to exceptional children who were often unfairly segregated and marginalized from other children of their disabilities. Idea allowed children to no longer be isolated and hidden: they were integrated with society. Including instruction conducted in the classroom, in the home, in hospitals and institutions, and other settings: special education law has many terms, eha, education for the handicapped act. Individuals with disabilities education act: free appropriate public education.
