Jason: associated with labor of retrieving the golden fleece and medea. Son of aeson (legitimate king- half brother pelias took over kingdom) Aeson says the child was stillborn and sent him away to be raised by. Jason goes back to uncle to reclaim the throne. Pelias says before he can take the throne; he needs to bring back the golden fleece (impossible tasks) Jason invited young heroes to come along. Meleager (killed by mother; fates told her that he would leave as long as the log would not burn) With the help of medea, jason was able to get the golden fleece. Medea"s father assigned jason with impossible tasks; medea help him. Medea goes and kills pelias when jason gives him the golden fleece. Medea claims she can make him young again. She cut up a lamb, put it in the cauldron and took out a young lamb. Pelias was convinced and she cut him up.
