Internal stresses are those that originate inside the country and are not influenced greatly, if at all, from factors outside the country. * a state with many nationalities within its borders may cause stress as many of the ethnic groups may want independence, or a larger voice in the government, or some type of autonomous status. Exs: venezuela, russia, usa, north korea, many others. * economic stresses are those which deal primarily with unfavorable or poor economic conditions in the country. Something many countries have dealt with in their history.
