The police are legitimately in the place even if in a stranger"s house and whatever they see in there is fine. Case #2: police enter s"s apartment w/ arrest warrant but no search warrant. They open drawer to see if clothes in dresser. Leave and get a warrant then search home: probably not legitimate, should have gotten a search warrant too. Legitimately in place when looking for guy but they weren"t looking for the guy. Arrest warrant doesn"t let you look through dresser drawers.
