It"s the study of how people perceive, learn, remember, and think. Anything going on between the ears and behind the eyes. Research is approached mainly through a modest view. Anything is a result of neurons firing, not bc of something else. Are we born into what we become or do we grow into that based on the situation around us. Ex. you get food because you"re hungry; run away or hide when something in the environment is unfamiliar. Argument that we have to fully understand the mind before we can heal the mind - both in the conscious and unconscious. Can"t analyze a behavior you don"t see.
