Sources can also be stationary or mobile: stationary: incinerator, mobile: automobile. Environmental health basics: exposure: the amount or degree to which an individual comes into contact with a hazard. In order for a hazard to cause harm, there must be exposure: no exposure, no harm, no hazard.
