Largest empire in human history: american in uence may be greater now but america doesn"t have colonies. Had a signi cant impact on the world today: the glori cation of western culture is largely due to the british empire, the united states would also not have its structure of government without the crowns in uence, american imperialism. Signi cantly different from any other nation state before it i) Rst when america was being created states simply joined as a full edged state: no colonies, these new states were equal members, native americans however would say the us was ruthless in their imperialism over. North america: european imperialism was most signi cant in its control over individual people. They took control over the people in their territories lives. From the government to the economy, european imperialists ruled over their people: this is drastically different than than north american imperialism by america where new states were full edged citizens.
