Hostile sexism- is an antagonistic attitude toward women, who are often viewed as trying to control men through feminist ideology or sexual seduction. Benevolent sexism- is a chivalrous attitude toward women that feels favorable but is actually sexist because it casts women as weak creatures in need of men"s protection. Cialdini"s compliance tactics (what they are and why they work) Ingratiation (invokes liking) - a person attempts to influence others by first agreeing with them and getting them to like him/her. Lowball (invokes consistency) - agreeing to purchase something at a given price increases the likelihood of agreeing to purchase it at a higher price. This success of this technique works on the principle of commitment.
