Deep to more internal or beneath or away inwardly from body surface. Body parts seperated in left and right sections. Transverse section- separate body in superior and inferior sections. Frontal or coronal section front and back parts of chest and other body parts. Cortex (cortical)- covering; outer region of structure/ organ. Medula (medullary) inside, inner region of structure/ organ. Compact bone outer layer of lung bone. Both terms relate to double layered serous membranes (serosa) found lining walls or organs of ventral cavity. 3 structures are surrounded by double layered mebrane.
