The persistence of the issues in the developing world is what makes it easy for us to associate these problem with these parts of the world. Originally wanted to call these countries underdeveloped nations but since this was undermining, they decided to call them developing nations however this term seemed too optimistic. Finally, the un came up with the name less developed countries (lcd) , which turned in third world countries. 2nd world was the soviet block, so the 3rd world was. Everyone else problematic because this term categorizes and classifies vast areas of the world into groups. These global systems constantly reinforce the dominance of core countries over peripheral systems and creates a global system based off of these power structures. Both companies originated form the west globalization. For starbucks, the finished product is being sold in core countries but the resources are coming from peripheral countries.
