Story of two lovers in normandy and whose lives are ended due to love. King has a beautiful daughter that serves as his happiness after the death of his queen. Saddened at the though of someone marrying his daughter, until the son of a count wins both her and the king"s favor. Tried to go on unnoticed as long as possible, but such arrangement leads them to endure much suffering and pain. The young man pleads for her to elope with him. -> he knows that the only way the king would fully give her to him was is he could carry her in his arms to the top of the mountain. The princess directs him towards a medicine woman she knows, so that she may give him a potion that will make him strong enough to carry her up the mountain. Comes back very strong after having drunk many potions from the woman.
