Thin membrane covering exposed part of the eye and inside of eyelids. Stratified columnar epithelium (rare in the rest of the body) with goblet. Contacts get stopped and can"t go up into your brain. Front = iris, ciliary body (processes, open/close pupil and change shape of lens) Front = lining of iris and ciliary body (produce fluid) Light transmitting/bending layers of the eye (all layers bend the light to some extent) Aqueous humor - front of the eye produced constantly. Present at birth and unchanging throughout life. Outer epithelium - strat squamous, non keratinized. Stroma - ct - thin fibrillar (not bundle) collagen with scattered cells. Endothelium - pumps water out of stroma into anterior chamber. Pull water out of ct and put h2o into eye. Cellular debris in lens can be due to uv radiation. Lens accommodation (accomodation = making it fatter to see near) Ciliary body (mm) is a ring around the lens.
