A system- a group of things that work together for one goal. Without one thing we wouldn"t have life. Earth can be considered a natural, self- maintained spaceship. It relies on proper circulation of matter and energy between 4 main components. Earth uses two forms of energy to operate. Radioactive decay-u, th, k atoms decay, which produces heat. Homeostasis typically applies to living organisms but we still apply it to earth. They shiver to cause friction to heat up. Negative- decreases intensity, often requires interaction without self force.
