You cannot obtain it elsewhere (scarcity): finding another place to get it, another job offer. Personal characteristics associated with high- powered people. Coercive power: ability to punish. Reward power: ability to provide positive benefit. Legitimate power: authority from one"s position. Expert power: expertise, skills, and knowledge, Referent power: identification with person, admiration and respect.
