Graeae - means aged ones have one eye, tooth and hair, perseus went to them to get medusa"s location. Ladon - dragon guarding the apples of hesperides. Geryon - triple bodied human like monster, herd of cattle. Heracles takes the cattle, brings to europe. Hermes drove cattle to the cave - has to do with the zodiac - cattle going west. Cerberus - 3 headed dog of hades, guards the gates of the underworld. Heracles takes him from the underworld and brings him back as a labor. Hydra - serpent has wings, cut off a head and other grows back. Also a labor of heracles - killed by him. Sphinx - female bird and lion combination.
