Less social support and parents are less responsive and more authoritarian. Less access to books and computers: schools/child-care facilities are inferior with less parental monitoring, polluted and noisy environment. Live in more dangerous and physically deteriorating neighborhoods with less municipal services. Issues: dislocation, separation from support networks, dual struggle to preserve identity and acculturate, change in ses status.
