Common belief: the wealthier you are, the better off you are in life. 1750, relationship with british is getting worse. The longer you farm the land, the worse the soil gets. British selling goods across the atlantic for very cheap, putting american artisans out of business. Every family had at least one rifle. The rifles has bullets that spun out in a circle and were more accurate than the british muskets. Back then, a judge collected taxes and had a more administrative function as well as what they do today. The militias were told to disarm to avoid controversy so british soldiers did a lot of raids to get the guns of the people. They didn"t want to piss people off just like us in iraq, just wanted to take the guns. Loyalists- some don"t think the king has done enough. If you fight the tyrant, you better win because if you don"t the king will hang you.
