PSY 1010 Lecture Notes - Lecture 2: Behavioral Neuroscience
Document Summary
Biological psychology: the scienti c study of the links between biological (genetic, neural, hormonal) and psychological processes. (some biological psychologists call themselves behavioral neuroscientists, near psychologists, behavior geneticists, physiological psychologists, or biopsychologists) Biological psychologists study the links between biology and behavior we might think of biology and psychology as very separate things but to think, feel or act without a body would be like running without legs. Scientists can study animal brains and understand human brains because their cognitive functions are the same. A human brain is more complex but it works the same as an animal brain.
