In the early years, the nation had refrained from exploiting aids to attack homosexuals. Aids as prominent skeleton at the feast of sexual liberation . The first step was to reeducate the public to understanding that aids was predominantly in homosexuals and drug addicts, and to remind people that homosexuality violates basic laws of nature. Everyone detected with aids should be tattooed in the upper forearm, to protect common-needle users, and on the buttocks, to prevent the victimization of other homosexuals. In a certain way, gays have left themselves susceptible to such vitriol, at first through sexual excess, and later through. Aids as a relatively small public health problem that had been exaggerated for political ends by the gay community. A significant weakness in the argument of conservative politicians was that although their proposed policies for containing the aids epidemic fell within the accepted range of accepted public health techniques, their motives were suspect.
