Data processing cycle: input storage/process output. Input: capture data about business activity, resources, participants. Source docs: sales order form, accurate & complete. Turnaround docs: organization customer, customer organization. Storage: paper based (ledgers, journals) vs computer based account. Subsidiary ledger: detail accounts for general ledger accounts.
