Cultural relativism- the theory that a person"s morals are completely shaped by culture and not shaped by moral code (expected behavior) This implies that there are no objective moral principles or claims. Ethnocentrism- one or more cultures that may be morally superior/inferior to others. Multiculturalism- all cultures are important, equal, and deserve respect. We cannot judge our own culture without comparing and judging others therefore cannot produce both positive and negative comments. Moral isolationism- the result of ruth benedict"s relativism. You are able to observe a culture and then make a judgement on it. She says if you are going to judge a culture then you need to know enough about the culture.
