Be realistic about marriage: people can settle and not have the honeymoon phase when they first get married (this can also be an effect of cohabitation, marry someone who has the same ideas/morals/values as you. Can get difficult if the couple shows different goals/ expectations. Predictators of martial satisfaction (wallertein and blakeslee, 1995) this research can be beneficial in marriage. That feeling that when you go home, you are happy to go home. Marriage wasn"t a first either (compared to females) after the first year, satisfaction of marriage goes down once children come in, wife is the caretaker (primarily responsible)
