Research is gathering information to answer a question that solves or addresses a problem. Research is not only a set of skills but also a way of thinking. This way of thinking also helps to challenge different aspects of work situation. To question the relevance and validity of information received. Conclusion: research helps develop our thinking inquisitive perspective . Concepts in research: reliability: repeatability and accuracy, validity: applied to any aspect of the research process. This ensures that correct procedures have been applied to find answers to questions: unbiased and objective: conclusion drawn without introducing one"s own vested interests. Controlled- exploring casually in relation to two variables. Rigorous- ensuring that procedures followed to find answers to questions are relevant, appropriate and justified. Systematic- procedures adopted to undertake an investigation must follow a certain logical sequence. Valid and verifiable- research conclusion from findings must be correct and verifiable by others.
