As a healthcare executive some ways to contribute to the community are:

Participate in local assessment on the needs of community and give the valuable input basis experience as an executive

Be actively involved in community-based interventions and act as a catalyst to strengthen the program

Synchronize between policy makers, decision makers, stakeholders etc. so that resources can be used efficiently and distributed equally

Get engaged in community service projects, public dialogue to have large say in community health care improvement activities

That is a great list of what a healthcare leader can do in the community. Do you think one is more important to do over the other ones? For me assessing the local need would be most important. Without knowing what has to be done one can't act and communicate with others.

You are very concerned about the number of homicides and suicides you have seen recently in the local newspaper. You feel that something needs to be done to address this and other issues which lead to the deaths of both the young and old in your community.

The State's statistical data shows the following as the leading causes of death for age group you are concerned about.

List ideas for interventions (activities / programs) that can be incorporated in your community to improve these numbers. (Do not list personal behaviors that need to be changed -- list what you can organize to help as the Community Health Educator to encourage the changing of personal behaviors. Keep in mind that you cannot mandate that schools or communities do or change things. Keep your ideas simple and do-able! i.e. create a cooking class to teach about eating healthy.)
