In this study, the explanatory variable would be confidence in a student"s learning after a study session of either using blocked or interleaved method. The response variable would be the individual student"s success in the examination they were preparing for. This will allow a comparison of the preliminary vs. final examination in order to asses if the student benefited from the learning method assigned. A mark increase during compared to the preliminary examination would suggest that the study method worked. This method of measurement of success will eliminate confounding variables such as previous knowledge as it compares the students previous vs. final performances rather than comparing the student with other students. Matched pairs will be used for experimental design. There are 60 students who signed up for the study.
