When first starting at ashford university, there were many foreign aspects that i had never done before; in high school, i can"t remember even once having to cite my information and provide scholarly/peer-reviewed sources. I still get hung up from time to time when citing sources; today, I needed to cite a source within a source, so i went to google and the writing center to refresh my memory on how to properly apa cite a source within a source. When conducting research, i usually have a pretty easy time; the part that proves difficult is a thesis statement and narrowing down a topic. I have only had to provide my own topic to research once or twice; otherwise, i usually pick from a list of approved topics. Once i have my topic, i will go to the university"s library and play around with different keywords and the wording of my topic to see what yields the best results.
