GCWORLD Lecture Notes - Lecture 3: Femininity, Masculinity
Document Summary
We are classi ed into male or female from the moment we are born. Sex is a biological aspect that is determined by our reproduction function. It is different from gender expression, which refers to the masculinity and feminity of a person regardless of their sex. Societies can also be categorized as feminine and masculine. A feminine community is when a man and woman have more equality. They prioritize balance over ranking on many aspects, such as family and work. When it comes to work, relationships are given value and are maintained. Their quality of life has higher importance than materialistic things. Both the mother and father deal with rationality and feelings in the family. A man and woman can be a priest, and human beings are the focus of religion. One gender is not weaker than the other, and peace is maintained for both. On the other hand, masculine societies have more categorization and prioritize rankings.
