JPN 101 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Records Of The Grand Historian, Watashi Wa

The problem deals with how to synchronize two clocks. You havetwoclocks 10^9m apart from each other in space. You then have aclockmoving at a constant velocity between them at 10^5m /s. Asthemoving clock passes by clock 1, it is set to record the sametimeas clock 1. As it passes by the second clock, that outpostclock isset to read the same time as the traveling clock.

I'm thinking that the difference comes from thelorentztransormations but I just can not figure out where to startor howto do this. Any ideas would be appreciated.
