A community can be associated with in numerous distinct ways. The true crime community is beneficial for all individuals because it highlights the harsh and undesirable aspects of society, and increases people"s awareness of their surroundings, both of which are better for their overall safety. I chose the case of abby choi as my main focus because cases with family and motive involved are very popular and the overall case was quite vicious, which also seizes the audience"s attention. My three genre samples are an online guide, a podcast script, and an instagram post. The online guide gives a glimpse of the podcast, then comes the actual podcast, and then an instagram post giving a short brief and giving the members a place to display their sympathy. They are in this order because it is a marketing strategy by podcasters.
